Primary Duties: THIS IS A TEMPORARY POSITION WHICH WILL WORK FULL TIME HOURS FOR UP TO 12 WEEKS. This position will work within the Central Sterilization/Central Supply area of the main hospital. CS Techs wrap and sterilize instruments and equipment. They send supplies to the floors, and make daily equipment rounds to check equipment and patient charges, where applicable. They pick up/restock/exchange crash carts after use, and they pick up decontaminated instruments from ancillary departments in order to sterilize them. The CS Techs will be trained in the proper care and techniques involved with sterilization, including minor equipment maintenance and repair calls. Once trained, they must demonstrate proficiency in the operation of both the steam & gas sterilizers.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or the equivalent is required. Candidates must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, and must be able to lift 50 pounds. Candidates should have good organizational skills, good time management skills, and be detail-oriented. All Regional West Health Services employees must have the ability to provide outstanding service to our customers. Candidates must be able to successfully pass reference checks, criminal background check, Adult and Child Abuse HHS central registry check, drug screen, and any other background check deemed appropriate for this position.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, rotating shifts; 6:30am to 3pm and 10:30am to 7pm or later

Week/Holiday Schedule: Rotating weekends
