Primary Duties: The Clinical Resource Nurse works under the supervision of the Unit Manager and/or under the general direction of the Unit Director/Nursing Supervisor. This person functions as a liaison between leadership and patient care members assuming responsibility for the seamless facilitation of patient care across the continuum. The Clinical Resource Nurse collaborates with other patient care unit Clinical Resource Nurses and the Nursing supervisor to ensure quality patient care and the maintenance of optimal staffing to meet patient care needs. The Clinical Resource Nurse must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to function as a nursing resource to physicians, staff, patients, and families for the age and type of patient cared for in the clinical unit. This person will demonstrate strong communication skills, to function as a conduit for communication between the medical staff, nursing staff, patients, families, and ancillary departments. This person will possess excellent critical thinking skills to be able to recognize priority patient situations that need immediate attention. The Clinical Resource Nurse utilizes Regional West Medical Center Standards of Behavior when communicating with internal and external customers and actively participates in Service Excellence and Shared Leadership. **On weekends and nights, the CRN will provide coverage for 2nd West and 2nd East.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nebraska without restrictions. BSN preferred. Certification in specialty area desired. Three years clinical RN experience preferred. Must have strong critical thinking skills, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide outstanding customer service.
Schedule: 12-hr clinical shifts; See Director for more shift information
Week/Holiday Schedule: Rotating weekends and holidays
